Thomas McClurkin, aged 81 years, departed this life at his home near Oakdale last Sunday. Mr. McClurkin was numbered among Washington county's pioneers and for many years has resided, as one of our county's most prominent and successful farmers, near Oakdale. He was a faithful member of the R.P. church, of Oakdale, and was honored and held in high esteem by a large circle of acquaintances. The funeral services were held at the residence by Rev. French and the remains were followed to the Oakdale cemetery, their last resting place, by a large concourse of friends and relatives.
