Text: DAVID BONNER MCQUISTON, born Jan. 17, 1832, in Preble County, Ohio; married Mar. 13, 1855, Elizabeth Dubois McClurkin who was born Aug. 10, 1834, in Indiana, near College Corner, Ohio, the daughter of John and Margaret McClurkin. They moved to Lawrence, Kans., in 1869, and he died there, Aug. 30, 1870. She remarried June 20, 1878, to Robert L Steen, who died Oct. 13, 1899. She died at the home of her daughter in Kansas City, Sept. 18, 1921. In girlhood she united with the Hopewell Church at Morning Sun, Ohio. Children, born in Indiana, near the Ohio State Line, Morning Sun being their postoffice:
- WILLIAM MILTON, b. Dec. 25, 1855; unm.; d. May 15, 1926, of heart trouble; had been interested in mining in Old Mexico; resided in Pasadena for eighteen years, where he died.
- CLARENCE EDGAR, b. Nov. 2, 1858; d. Mar. 10, 1860.
- MARY CATHERINE, b. July 21, 1860; was graduated from the State University at Lawrence, Kans., receiving her B.A. degree in 1883; from the elementary course of the Kansas Teachers College, Emporia, Kans., in 1894. In 1900 she came to Kansas City, Kans., as a teacher in the grade schools of the city, where she taught until her marriage in Los Angeles, July 8, 1907, to Artemas M. Bogle who was born in Perry County, Ohio, Mar. 9, 1860. He was a teacher in the Wyandotte High School, Kansas City, Kans., until his retirement in 1929. She d. Feb. 8, 1935, in Bethany Methodist Hospital; is buried at Pittsburg, Kans. She was a lifelong member of the United Presbyterian Church and was interested in all departments of its activities.

- JOHN ATEN, b. Jan. 19, 1864; d. May 18, 1933, in the Lutheran Hospital, Brooklyn, N. Y.; buried at Lawrence, Kans.
- EVERETT LINCOLN, b. Jan. 18, 1867; d. Sept. 6, 1870.
