Eunice Louise McClurkin Posset, age 100 formerly of White Township, died on Monday, January 19, 2015 at the Reformed Presbyterian Home in Pittsburgh, Pa. Mrs. Posset was born March 29, 1914, in Coulterville, Illinois, the daughter of the late Reverend Walter Clyde McClurkin and Morna Gail McWilliams McClurkin. Mrs. Posset received her Bachelor of Arts in French from the University of Pittsburgh in 1933 and her Masters of Arts in French from the University of Pittsburgh in 1936. Mrs. Posset also studied Spanish at Middlebury College and at the University of Massachusetts Oversees Institute in Arcachon, France.

During World War II, Mrs. Posset served in Syria as a Missionary teacher at the American School for Girls in Latakac, Syria, where she was the Principal and English Teacher from 1947 to 1957. She returned to the United States and taught French at Kawallkill Central High School from 1957 to 1969 and later taught French at Geneva College.

Mrs. Posset met her husband, John R. Posset in Erie, Pennsylvania and they were married on November 23, 1974, at the Geneva Reformed Presbyterian Church in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Posset was president of the Pittsburgh Presbyterian Women's Missionary Society and a member of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages and the American Association of Teachers and French. Mrs. Posset was a member of the First Reformed Presbyterian Church in Patterson Twp., PA; formerly known as Geneva Reformed Presbyterian Church.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Posset was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Posset on December 18, 2012.

Friends will be received at Campbell's Chippewa Funeral Home, 2618 Darlington Road Beaver Falls, PA on Wednesday January 21, 2015 from 3:00 PM to until the time of service at 4:00 PM at the funeral home, with Pastor Bruce Backensto of the First Reformed Presbyterian Church presiding. Private interment will follow at the Beaver Falls Cemetery, Chippewa Twp.
